Crystal (also referred to as lens, glass or face) fitting can be a deceptively difficult process. An improperly fit crystal is unsightly and can even impair the function of the watch. At Crystal-Fit, we are confident we can properly fit a crystal to your watch.

PRICING

Installed prices typically run $50 - $70 (plus return shipping) but can vary greatly depending on crystal shape and size. Because of this, we ask that you please contact us for an exact quote and lead time for your job.

PROCESS

Installing steps vary greatly depending on the watch case design and crystal configuration. Below is an example of the typical steps taken to replace a shaped glass crystal. 

 

  • A vintage mens Wittnauer watch was sent that had a broken crystal.

  • A replacement crystal was selected. Note the required crystal had to be both domed and with arched sides.

  • The watch was disassembled, the case cleaned and all components inspected.

  • The crystal was "fine tuned" for a perfect fit (a necessity on many watches...vintage ones in particular).

  • Adhesive was carefully applied to the bezel and the crystal is installed.

  • Excess adhesive was removed and the watch reassembled. Then proper fit and function was confirmed.
